Your leads aren’t dead.
They’re cold.
You paid for those enquiries once. Thaw Revive warms them back up round by round over WhatsApp and email, sorts every reply, and hands the ready-to-buy ones to your sales team. Built around POPIA and tracked to the rand.
- Consent checked first
- Up to 6 rounds, then we stop
- Every reply sorted
- Tracked to the sale
Illustration only: how the maths works
A projection to show how the pricing works, not a result and not a promise. The 1% is an assumption; your database could do better or worse. Try your own numbers below.
What Thaw Revive does for you.
You have thousands of people who once asked about your product and never bought. Most were called once or twice and then forgotten. Thaw goes back to them for you, politely and legally, a few times over several months. When someone says “yes, call me”, your team gets their name, number and what they said. Most of what you pay is a share of the sales that follow.
You give us the old list
An export from your CRM or dialler. Nothing to install, nothing to change.
We warm it up
Checked, cleaned, then contacted in rounds over WhatsApp and email.
Your team gets hot leads
People who asked to talk, with the conversation so far. Your agents close.
From “no answer” to a booked sale.
Example only, not a real client. Sipho asked about a holiday package last year. An agent called him twice, got no answer, and marked him “dead”. Here’s what happens when his name goes through Thaw.
Week 1 · The check
Thaw confirms Sipho may be contacted: he gave consent when he enquired, he hasn’t opted out, and he isn’t on the national opt-out registry. He’s in.
Week 2 · Round 1
A short WhatsApp: “Hi Sipho, you asked about our holiday packages last year. Is a break still on the cards?” with buttons for Yes, call me, Maybe later and Stop. He doesn’t reply.
The next few weeks · Rest
The round closes 14 days after its last message, and Sipho rests. Nobody bothers him.
Round 2 · A new angle
A fresh message about the school-holiday specials. This time Sipho taps Yes, call me.
Same day · The handover
Sipho lands on your agent Lerato’s call list with his reply and history. She calls him in contact hours and he books.
After the sale · The record
Lerato records the sale. It shows in your report as a sale from the revival, and that’s what the commission is worked out on.
He’s never contacted again
On WhatsApp or email. Anything waiting to be sent to him is withdrawn straight away.
He rests for longer
Twice as long as a non-reply, then he gets one more friendly round when it’s due.
We stop after the last round
Up to 6 rounds by default, fewer if you prefer. Then he’s left alone for good.
The database you already paid for is the cheapest lead source you have.
Every lead that said “not now”, didn’t pick up, or was marked “no answer” after two tries cost you money once. Most are never contacted again, while the budget goes on new leads.
Their timing changed
“Not now” six months ago can be “yes” today. Nobody asked.
Follow-up stopped too early
One or two calls, at whatever hour the agent had free, and then the lead was marked dead.
New leads always come first
That’s right for your agents. Old leads need a system that runs alongside them, not more agent hours.
Phone only
Plenty of people ignore calls from numbers they don’t know, but they do read a short WhatsApp.
Five steps, and who does what.
1. Clean and check the list
We: Remove duplicates and dead numbers. Check consent, your own opt-outs and the national opt-out registry.
You: Send us an export of the old leads.
You get: A count of who may be contacted, and who was left out and why.
2. Score and plan
We: Group leads by what they asked about and how old they are, and start with the most promising groups.
You: Tell us about your offer.
You get: A plan for the rounds.
3. Write the messages
We: Short, personal WhatsApp and email messages for each group, written for your offer.
You: Approve every message before it goes out.
You get: The approved message set.
4. Run the rounds
We: Send only in the legal contact hours. Non-responders rest, then get a new message from a different angle, up to a set number of rounds.
You: Nothing.
You get: A report after each round.
5. Hand over the hot ones
We: Sort every reply and pass the hot leads to a named agent on your team.
You: Call them and record the outcome.
You get: Sales you can trace back to the revival.
What happens when someone replies.
Every kind of reply has a set next step, so nothing sits in an inbox.
| The lead says | What happens |
|---|---|
| “Yes, call me” | Goes to your team straight away, with what they said. |
| A question | Goes to your team too, so nobody is left waiting on a bot. |
| “Maybe later” | Rests twice as long, then gets another friendly round. |
| “Not interested” | Rests for the longest time, and only comes back if rounds remain. |
| “Stop” | Never contacted again, on any channel. |
| No reply after the last round | Left alone for good. |
What a revival looks like, month by month.
List check
Your export is cleaned and checked. You see how many may be contacted.
Messages approved
You sign off the messages for each group.
Round 1
The best groups are contacted first.
First hot leads
Handovers to your team, and the first report.
More rounds
Each with a new angle and a rest in between.
Review
What worked, what didn’t, and whether to carry on.
A typical plan. The exact timing depends on your list and how quickly messages are approved.
What could your old leads be worth?
Put in the size of your database and what a sale is worth. The calculator works it through step by step: how many you may contact, how many reply, how many your team gets to speak to, and how many buy. Then it takes off our fees and the costs of running the revival.

Thaw’s pricing
Between 6 and 70 sales, about 26 in the base case: R150,000 to R1,750,000 in revenue. After paying Thaw, about R587,023 is left in the base case.

The assumptions behind these numbers
No client revival has run on Thaw yet, so these rates are working assumptions, not results. We replace them with your own figures on the free review.
| Step | Cautious | Base | High |
|---|---|---|---|
| Have a working WhatsApp number or emailOlder lists have more dead numbers | 50% | 60% | 70% |
| Reply at all, across every roundRounds over several months, not one message | 10% | 18% | 25% |

| Of the calls, buyYour team does the selling | 10% | 15% | 20% |
Running costs assume 4 rounds over about 6 months, 2 messages per round to each lead we can reach (one to each we can’t), about 50% of messages by WhatsApp and the rest by email, and AI writing 50% of them.
| Running cost | Rand |
|---|---|
| WhatsApp message per message | R0.72 |
| Email per email | R0.03 |
| AI writing a message per message | R0.04 |
| AI sorting a reply per reply | R0.02 |
| Cleaning and opt-out register check per lead | R0.10 |
| Platform (hosting and database) per month | R500 |
Revenue is before your own cost of sale and your agents’ time. Only people you may lawfully contact are counted: consent or an existing relationship, cleaned against your opt-outs and the national opt-out register. This is a practical estimate, not financial or legal advice.
An estimate, not a result: no client revival has run on Thaw yet, so every rate is a working assumption and your list could do better or worse. The cautious case is the one to plan on.
Everything you need to see it working.
A list-check report
How many leads may be contacted, how many were left out, and why.
The approved messages
Every WhatsApp and email message, signed off by you.
Hot-lead handovers
Each one with contact details and the conversation so far, assigned to a named agent.
A results report
Contacted, replied, hot, spoken to and sold, step by step.
A compliance record
When each message went out, every opt-out, and each registry check.
Your data back
Returned or deleted under our written agreement.
A good fit if you:
- Have thousands of past enquiries that never bought
- Have a sales team or call centre that can call hot leads the same day
- Can show where the leads came from and that they may be contacted
Not a fit if:
- The list was bought, rented or scraped
- Nobody is free to call the hot leads
- The leads are only a few weeks old: call them yourself first
Only people you may lawfully contact.
We only message people you’re allowed to message: people who gave consent, or your existing customers under POPIA. Anyone we can’t vouch for is left out.
- Your list is checked against your opt-outs and the national opt-out registry before we start, and again at least every 30 days. If a check is overdue, sending stops
- Messages go out only Monday to Friday 08:00 to 20:00 and Saturday 09:00 to 13:00, never on Sundays or public holidays
- Every message has a one-tap Stop, honoured immediately
- No bought, rented or scraped lists, ever
Your database stays yours.
We use your leads only to run your rounds, under a written agreement. They’re never shared, never added to anyone else’s list, and deleted or returned when the work ends. See the privacy notice.
This is a practical approach, not legal advice. Confirm anything material with your legal adviser.
A setup fee, then a share of what it sells.
Your quote comes after the free review, once we know the size of your database and your channels.
R27,500
For up to 5,000 old leads (R45,000 up to 20,000). Cleaning and checking the list, writing and approving the messages, and connecting WhatsApp and email.
3% of each closed sale
Only on sales from leads the revival handed to your team, as your agents record them.
R650 per kept appointment
For offers under R50,000, where a share of each sale is too small: a fixed fee for each appointment with your team that actually happens, with a lead who met the checks you agreed. No-shows cost you nothing.
4,000 leads, a R225,000 package
Setup is R27,500, once. If the revival leads to 4 sales in a month, that month’s fee is 3% of R900,000, which is R27,000. If there are no sales that month, you pay the R5,000 minimum instead. Message costs come on top, at cost plus 15%.
Either way there is a minimum of R5,000 a month (R7,500 for bigger lists) for the first 4 months, counted towards the commission or call fees. WhatsApp and email messages, AI writing and the platform are billed at cost plus 15%. Lists over 20,000 leads are quoted. Prices exclude VAT where applicable. See what they come to for your database in the calculator above.
Before you book
How is this different from the Lead Audit?
The Lead Audit finds where leads go cold across your whole process and puts a rand figure on it. Revival does one job: it goes back to the leads that already went cold. The audit includes what your dead database is worth, so it’s a good place to start if you’re unsure.
Who is it for?
South African businesses with a database of past enquiries, usually thousands, and a sales team or call centre to take the hot leads: timeshare and holiday clubs, insurance and funeral cover, finance and loans, solar and home improvement.
What do you need from us to start?
An export of the old leads with where each came from and any consent dates you hold, someone to approve the messages, and agents who can call hot leads in contact hours and record the outcome.
Do we have to change our CRM or dialler?
No. We take an export of the old leads, and the hot ones come back to your team with their details and what they said.
How soon do we see hot leads?
Replies can start as soon as round one goes out, because every message asks for a one-tap answer. How many depends on your list; the calculator shows a cautious and a hopeful case.
Will this annoy our old customers?
It’s built not to. Messages are short and personal, go out only in contact hours, rest in between rounds, and stop after a set number of rounds (6 by default, never more than 12). Every one has a one-tap Stop, and you approve the wording first.
Do you use AI?
AI helps write the messages and does the first sort of the replies. People approve every message before it’s sent and can correct any sort, and your agents do the selling.
What if our records don’t show we may contact these people?
Then we leave those leads out. If too few are left to make it worthwhile, you’ll hear that on the free review, before you pay anything.
How do you know which sales came from the revival?
Every hot lead is handed to a named agent, who records the outcome. Commission is worked out only from those recorded sales, and you see the same report we do.
What if we want to stop?
Tell us and sending stops. The monthly minimum applies for the first 4 months, and your data is returned or deleted when the work ends.
Revival is new
The Thaw system that runs the rounds is built and tested, but no client revival has run yet, so there are no results on this page. The figures and the story of Sipho are illustrations. The first clients’ results will be shared only with their written permission.
